Following a period of review and discussion with residents and the Community Council, Stirling Council are proposing to reduce the speed limit on Airthrey Road between Coneyhill and Hillfoots Road from 40MPH to 30 MPH.

At October’s Community Council meeting this was discussed with input from all those present, including Elected Members.
Bridge of Allan Community Council voted unanimously in favour of the proposed speed reduction.
More detail is noted here and you are invited to comment on these proposals in writing to the responsible Officer, Mr Stephen Easton, at Stirling Council by NO LATER THAN 30TH NOVEMBER 2017. Please address your comments to his email address or to his postal address noted below.
“Please find attached a draft proposal to reduce the speed of traffic from the 40mph to 30mph on Airthrey Road and Henderson Street between Bridge of Allan and Causewayhead. It has been brought to our attention of the increase of pedestrian traffic crossing the road due to the new Wallace High School and the volume of cyclists travelling on this road. The speed reduction would also benefit the SUSTRANS project that is proposed for this area to improve cycling and pedestrian facilities.
I would be grateful if you could provide your comments and hopefully if positive I can proceed with submitting an order through the legal process.
Kind regards,
Stephen Easton
