Our next meeting is to be held on Tuesday 15th of November at 7.30pm in the Allan Centre. All are welcome to attend, see the full line up here. This will be our final meeting for 2022, however we will still be beavering away in the background on our projects and contactable on email and social media.
This month we will be covering quite a lot of topics: The Police Report, Christmas Lights, Bridge of Allan Post Office, Community Action Plan review, Local Place Plan Common Good Fund Application, Recruitment, Tennis Courts, Mountain Bike Trails, Guala UCP site, Planning Report, reports from our Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and Residents Voice where you can make your comments or questions.
At this meeting we will review and approve the minutes from our last meeting in October. These will then be available on our website shortly after the meeting to allow for any amendments.
We are very concerned at the proposed closure of the Post Office and hope that everything possible will be done to find a new home for it within the main shopping area of Bridge of Allan. It is a very important service for the community and always seems to be busy.
Post Office. So much is done online now eg vehicle licensing that it is now probably not commercially viable. Why not speak to Co op about taking it on- give subsidy from Common Good Fund? I would also ask Co op if it is worth moving present premises into smaller newer store? The disruption caused will be massive for very little gain !!
Allan Lodge. Could you ask our Stirling Councillors what they prpose to do with this property. If they have no plans to use it why not sell it !
