Basic Food Hygiene Training Course – 22nd March
The aim of this course is to raise awareness of key food hygiene issues: Bacteria, Causes of Food Poisoning, Preventing Food Poisoning and Personal Hygiene.
Women’s National Facility at HMP Cornton Vale
We’ll be joined at our March meeting by representatives of SPS and their Planning Consultants to address any queries on the proposed new faciilty at Cornton Vale

The February Community News Sheet has been issued by Stirling Council. As always it’s choc full of interesting information on various consultations and initiatives. It also has details on many different funding opportunities.
Review of Parking Arrangements
We have developed a short parking survey to gather the views of all interested parties and would appreciate your response www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/BofAparking2018. The survey will close on Friday 30th March 2018.
Stirling Marathon Community Drop In Event – 8th March
The Great Run Company will be hosting community drop-in sessions on 8 March 2018. This will be at 5pm-6.30pm, the Allan Centre, Fountain Road, Bridge of Allan, FK9 4AT. All welcome to attend.
Christmas Event Planning Meeting – 9th March – Help Wanted
The BofA Sparkles group, who came together late last year and did a fabulous job of getting the Christmas lights up in the village, are having a meeting in the Allan Bridge Social Club on Friday the 9th of March at 7pm to begin the planning of this year’s Christmas event and they are inviting people to come and get involved.
Parking Consultation
We will be launching a formal consultation into the parking restrictions on Henderson Street and nearby areas in the next week or so. This will involved an online survey and a display in the library where there will be paper copies of the survey available too. Watch out for further communications announcing when this is launched.
Your Place, Your Priorities Funding Applications
Stirling Council, as part of their locality planning processes, has been successful in securing £65,000 to distribute to community groups, from the Scottish Government’s community choices fund. They have matched the grant, creating a fund of £130,000 for community groups, to enable them to deliver activities throughout Stirlingshire
Henderson Street Pedestrian Crossing Improvements
We’ve been told by Stirling Council that the pedestrian crossing on Henderson Street, which has been earmarked for upgrading for some time now, will have works commenced on it on the week commencing 19th March.
