Our next meeting is to be held on Tuesday 17th of January at 7.30pm in the Allan Centre. All are welcome to attend, see the full line up here.
This month we will be covering quite a lot of topics: The Police Report, Christmas Lights, Bridge of Allan Post Office, Community Action Plan review, Local Place Plan Common, Guala UCP site, Haws Park, The Larder, Planning Report, reports from our Chair, Secretary and Treasurer and Residents Voice where you can make your comments or questions.
There may be some later changes to the agenda, the webmaster is posinting these now before they take a holiday!
At this meeting we will review and approve the minutes from our last meeting in November. These will then be available on our website after webmaster returns at the end of Jan. So if you would like a copy please contact the Secretary

Following an exhausting enquiry by the Reporter which included 2 days of video debate on housing land supply the Reporter, citing the importance of the Green Belt between Bridge of Allan and Causewayhead and the importance of the identity of the two towns recommended that the planning application be refused.
The Scottish Government endorsed the Reporters findings and refused the application.

Works by SGN to replace approximately 6500m of old, metal gas mains with new plastic pipe are still ongoing and are progressing well. This work is ensuring a continued safe and reliable gas supply to the local community. It will also ensure the network is ready for green sources of energy, such as hydrogen, in future.
The final phase of works are scheduled to commence on the 5 January 2023 for approximately 10 weeks. During this time Blairforkie Drive at the junction of Henderson Street will be closed and a local diversion route in place. Temporary signals will be in place during this time, these will cause delays during busy peak periods. Manual control will be in place at this time.
Parking suspensions will also be in place throughout works. The project will be carried out on a phased basis not all streets will be affected at once.

- 14 Henderson Street to Inverallan Road both sides (3104112

Stirling Council are asking for your views on the current waste collection and recycling facilities.
You are invited to complete a short survey (5-10 minutes) to give your feedback and suggest some ideas for improvements. A paper copy of the survey can be obtained at your local library.
The survey is open until Monday 28th November.

At the meeting we discussed
- The Police Report
- Recruitment – our newest members Emma, Heather and Robin gave a brief introduction.
- Tennis court – the refurbishment of the courts is still planned, the next steps are for Stirling Council to arrange for tree and flood surveys to be carried out
- Christmas Lights – The lights had been inspected and tested. Work underway to raise sponsorship. (This has progressed well over the last few weeks, this lights are now up! Switch on is happening Dec 3rd, you can keep these lights shining for the next few years by supporting our Crowdfunder)
- Community Grit Bins – A full survey of the bin situation has been completed. 4 new locations to be proposed to Stirling Council.
- Mine Wood – Stirling Council had been to look a the site where bike jumps had been created and trees damaged. We will work so that all users of the woods can enjoy safe and equal access.
- Community Planning – We discussed the Community Action Plan which is ready for updating. (Work is now progressing to take stock of what we have achieved of the plan to date). We also talked about Local Place Plans which will feed into the Council’s Local Development Plan.
- Planning – We are working on adding more planning content to our website. 2 Applications of interest . A house in Lecropt. Change of the old Tesco building to a Dentists – refused on a few grounds (since re submitted), decisions still awaiting for Blairforkie drive, Lecrop Hill, The Ivy hotel.
- Reports form our Chair, Secretary and Treasurer.
