With the upcoming Armistice Centenary on November 11, Rev Dan Harper of Bridge of Allan Parish Church and Ruth Teal of Coop Funeralcare and some dedicated volunteers are planning an event in Bridge of Allan Parish Church. This is all taking part within the church, but they are encouraging the village to be involved by showing the poster attached below and decorate their windows and businesses.
The poster below has been issued to many traders in the village and they are asking that, if you need, to print off the poster below for display in your window if need be.
There already is an event advertised called “A village remembers”. To be held in St. Saviours Church at 7.30pm on Friday 9 November. The participants have worked very hard for months. Please support it.
Hi Isabel,
Thanks for your comment. We are supporting all the various events planned for the armistice centenary and indeed the poster for the St Saviours event has been put on our noticeboard. We’ll share on our media pages also.
Kind regards,
Michael

I am looking for details of my Great Geanddather Alexander D Watson on your Roll of Honour
Hello Lesley, I’ve found several possibilities for Alexander D Watson, but I will need further details to confirm which one is your ggrandfather. Is it only Roll of Honour information you are seeking, or information in general? I’m happy to dig about for you. You can find me on the ‘Bridge of Allan Photographs’ Facebook page – Kelly Scottisheart.
Cheers!
