See attached the Waste Service Collection Calendar for April onwards, this will be distributed week beginning the 19th of March (Monday), it will be going to all households.
Also attached is a coloured spreadsheet showing the difference in the waste streams collected, you will notice the current collect system requires us to change streams on Thursday night into Friday morning and change again Sunday night into Monday morning. This requires changes to vehicle set ups, the transfer station material allocation, reduces the ability to collect missed / non presented bins due to different material in the vehicles (2 changes per week), so we are moving to the same two streams for 7 days (1 change per week). The rotation will take place over the 6th 7th & 8th of April, you will notice on the Friday, Saturday & Sunday calendars there is a note highlighting the move. This will result in the properties this weekend receiving a Grey bin collection two weeks in a row and they will also receive an additional glass collection. This is for one weekend only, extra resources have been scheduled for these collections.
In addition there is a note at the bottom of each days calendar explaining the new arrangement for the supply of Biobags for food waste. Due to operational issues we are moving away from the delivery of these on the bin collection day, this was incredibly difficult to control, we had no way of checking who was requesting the bags, whether they were actually receiving them, it was also another operation that the operatives had to deal with that slowed down the collections and so on and so on. These will now be available for collection from local libraries, waste service representatives are meeting with library staff next week to discuss the booking out and stock control etc
Where is the updated 2020 callendar
Hi there,
You’d probably find it on the Stirling Council Website. I don’t think we’ve posted a calendar this year.
